White water rafting on the UK's only natural world championship rapids!

White water rafting at the National White Water Centre means taking on the challenging Afon Tryweryn; ride your raft through crashing waves and boulder strewn rapids on this fast flowing Welsh mountain river.

Thundering down from Llyn Celyn to the River Dee in Bala over a distance of 8km, the Tryweryn offers a variety of rafting options; from the exhilarating Upper Tryweryn to the scenic Lower Tryweryn, or a combination of both! And because the Tryweryn is dam controlled, its world renowned rapids are fast flowing throughout the year.

Activities:

  • White Water Rafting; a selection of rafting adventures on the Exhilarating Upper Tryweryn and scenic Lower Tryweryn.
  • Orca Adventure; paddle the Tryweryn unguided in a two person raft.
  • Canyon Experience; slide, scramble and swim down a beautiful wild gorge.

Day One -A white water rafting adventure at the National White Water Centre then to the Zip World Caverns to take on an epic journey through the underground caverns on zip lines, rope bridges, via ferrata and tunnels.
Day Two - A morning at the National Mountain Sports Centre, Plas y Brenin for a kayaking or canoeing on the beautiful lake Llynnau Mymbyr then to Surf Snowdonia to learn how to surf on the world's first inland surf lagoon.
